Day 1: Kai Tak to Shenzhen culture and city views

7:00–8:00 a.m. — Ship arrival and meeting

The guide and driver arrive at Kai Tak around 7:30 a.m. and meet the group at the immigration exit at approximately 8:00 a.m. Before departure, the guide checks the passenger count, passports, cruise cards and luggage. A late berth, delayed immigration or slow baggage delivery requires the remaining programme to be shortened or shifted.

8:10–10:00 a.m. — Kai Tak, Shenzhen Bay checkpoint and hotel

The proposed route is Kai Tak Cruise Terminal → West Kowloon Highway → Shenzhen Bay Bridge → Shenzhen Bay Port. Allow approximately 50–70 minutes from Kai Tak to the checkpoint. Under normal conditions, the Hong Kong and Shenzhen clearance process may be estimated at 10–30 minutes, but public holidays, system checks and additional manual passport review can take longer.

The booked vehicle must be confirmed for the cross-border route. Whether passengers leave the vehicle, how inspection is completed and whether luggage must be moved depend on the checkpoint, direction, vehicle lane and instructions on the day. The guide assists the group, but the itinerary must not promise a fixed “stay in the car” procedure.

Allow approximately 15–25 minutes from Shenzhen Bay Port to the hotel.

10:00–10:30 a.m. — Hotel registration and luggage

Visiting the hotel first means the group does not carry cruise luggage while sightseeing. The guide can assist with passport registration, room and breakfast confirmation, luggage storage and collection of any available room keys. If rooms are not ready, use the hotel's formal luggage-storage service rather than assuming early room access.

10:40 a.m.–12:30 p.m. — Nantou Ancient Town

The hotel is around 5–10 minutes away by vehicle; walking may be possible in suitable weather. A relaxed route can cover the South Gate, ancient-wall remains, Nantou Ancient Town Museum, former Xin'an County Government site, Dongguan Guild Hall, Baode Square, Zhongshan South Street, residential lanes and renewed cultural areas.

Allow about 1.5–2 km of walking. The guide can explain the historical link between Hong Kong and Shenzhen through the former Xin'an County. Recheck venue opening hours before the tour.

12:30–1:45 p.m. — Lunch in Nantou

1:45–3:30 p.m. — OCT Harbour

Allow approximately 20–30 minutes from Nantou. Visit the waterfront promenade, outer lakeside and wetland areas, public art and contemporary architecture, with around 20 minutes for coffee. The walking distance is approximately 1 km.

3:30–6:00 p.m. — Lianhuashan Park and Futian CBD

OCT Harbour to Lianhuashan Park takes approximately 25–30 minutes. The park visit can include open lawns, gentle paths, the hilltop square and panoramic Futian CBD views, with approximately 2 km of walking. The guide should reduce the gradient in hot, wet or tiring conditions.

Continue to the exterior of Shenzhen Civic Center, the central city axis, Ping An Finance Centre and the Convention and Exhibition Center area. Allow another 500–800 metres of walking.

6:15–8:30 p.m. — Cantonese dinner and hotel return

Day 2: Local market, dim sum and return to the ship

7:30–10:20 a.m. — Breakfast, check-out and Huanggang market

After the hotel buffet breakfast, check out and load luggage according to the confirmed vehicle plan. The guide rechecks passports, cruise cards, phones and bag count. Allow approximately 30–40 minutes to Huanggang Village.

Huanggang Fresh Food Market has a reference address of No. 131 Huanggang Market, Huanggang Village, Futian District. The visit can cover local vegetables, bean products, roast meats, cooked-food stalls, seafood, seasonal fruit and the surrounding residential streets. Allow 800 metres to 1 km of walking. This is an everyday local market visit with no compulsory shopping; ask permission before photographing vendors or residents.

10:30–11:30 a.m. — Cantonese dim sum brunch

11:45 a.m.–2:30 p.m. — Return to Kai Tak

Complete the final passport, cruise-card and luggage check and depart no later than 11:45 a.m. The preferred example route is Futian → Huanggang Port → Lok Ma Chau → Kai Tak Cruise Terminal. Allow 15–25 minutes to the checkpoint, 10–30 minutes for normal clearance and 45–60 minutes for the Hong Kong road section.

Expected arrival is approximately 1:30–2:15 p.m., with an internal latest-arrival target of 2:30 p.m. If the cruise requires return by 3:00 p.m., a holiday, severe weather, passport review or checkpoint disruption may require an earlier departure or cancellation of part of the Day 2 programme.

Is this itinerary suitable for three or six adults?

Yes. It was designed around six adults and can be adapted for three, but rooms, vehicle allocation, guide costs and meals need a new written quotation. A seven-seat Alphard includes the driver and normally carries no more than six passengers; luggage dimensions still need checking.
