HSR is HKD 230 per ticket × 4 = HKD 920. Charter is HKD 1,980. With 4 pax, charter is HKD 495/head — comparable, before counting taxi legs.
Which is faster HK city → Shenzhen city?
West Kowloon → Futian is 14 min on HSR — almost always wins for that specific city-to-city pair. But door-to-door, charter often ties when accounting for transfer legs.
Is the through-train (KTT) still running?
The MTR through-train (HK ↔ Guangzhou direct) was largely replaced by HSR in 2018 and is no longer the main option.
Can I bring a bicycle / surfboard on HSR?
