Hong Kong + Shenzhen + Macau Cross-City Day Tour

Cross-city local guide tour — dual-plate licensed car + driver-guide, one car and one driver across Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Macau in a single day. Only ~3,000 dual-plate cars exist in Hong Kong; fewer than 100 can offer full cross-city local guide service. From HKD 2,800 / 8h, including HKZMB bridge toll, Shenzhen Bay / Huanggang / Liantang borders, HKD 10M cross-border insurance, and passengers stay in the car at all crossings (except HKZMB which requires a brief walk-through).

What other local tour drivers can't do: pick you up at your HK Island hotel, lunch in Shenzhen, sunset in Macau — without ever changing cars.

FAQ

Is cross-city much more expensive than single-city?

HKD 400–800 more, driven by HKZMB bridge toll (HKD 150) + Shenzhen Bay / Huanggang fees + cross-border insurance + cross-border driver licensing. But it's 30–50% cheaper than booking two or three separate single-city cars, and saves 1–3 hours of car-swap time.

Do passengers really stay in the car at borders?

Yes — Shenzhen Bay, Huanggang, Liantang, Qingmao, Wenjindu all support in-car border processing for dual-plate cars. Average: Shenzhen Bay 5–10 min, Huanggang 10 min, HKZMB bridge is the exception (~5 min walk through inspection zone).

How much driving in a 12h three-city loop?

Total driving ~4.5h (HK→SZ 1h + SZ→Macau 2.5h + Macau→HK 1h via bridge), borders ~1h, sightseeing/meals 6.5h. We recommend 07:30 start, 20:00 finish.

Documents required for the Hong Kong side?

For Hong Kong residents going to mainland: Home Return Permit + HK ID. For mainland citizens going to HK: HK&Macau entry permit. For foreign passport holders: passport + valid HK / mainland / Macau visas as required.

Why doesn't HKZMB allow >7-seat vehicles?

The bridge has a 5–8 seat small passenger car category for private chartered cars. Our Alphard 7-seat and V-Class 6-seat both qualify and hold dedicated bridge permits.

Can the route change mid-tour?

Yes. We bill hourly per package — adding stops within the three-city coverage is free. Extending beyond contracted hours is HKD 350–400/h.

VAT invoice for business travel?

Yes — 6% Chinese VAT invoice available for cross-city packages.

2-day continuous package?

From HKD 5,800 / 24h including driver overnight (hotel or return to base, customer choice). About HKD 1,000 cheaper than two separate single-day bookings.

When is cross-city better than flights / high-speed rail?

  • ① 3+ travelers: HKD 2,800 / 8h ÷ 4 = HKD 700/pax, cheaper than flights + transfers
  • ② Heavy luggage or elderly / children: no security / rail baggage handling
  • ③ Multi-stop itineraries: rail and flights only serve fixed terminals
  • ④ Business privacy and dignity: vastly better than public transport
