Ask the quote to list the driver, fuel, standard tolls, any parking, included waiting and applicable insurance scope for the assigned vehicle and route. Pickup in Shenzhen and drop-off in Hong Kong

For a Shenzhen hotel pickup, send the full hotel name and address, plus the lobby or vehicle entrance. For a residential compound or office, provide the building name, gate and location pin. A hotel brand or district alone is not enough to identify the meeting point.

Which border checkpoint will the car use?

Dispatch considers Shenzhen Bay Port, Huanggang Port / Lok Ma Chau Control Point, or Liantang Port / Heung Yuen Wai Control Point, subject to the assigned vehicle's permissions and the confirmed route. A nearby crossing is not automatically the quickest for the whole journey.

Hours were checked against Hong Kong Customs' passenger-clearance information on 16 September 2026. Temporary controls can change access. The Transport Department's Shenzhen Bay guidance also notes that approach roads close before the port itself, so do not plan to arrive at the last minute.

Futian district pickup is different from crossing at Futian Port. Lok Ma Chau Control Point and Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point are separate facilities, as shown in the Immigration Department's control-point directory. Send the hotel address rather than choosing a crossing from the district name.

Passengers or luggage may need to leave the vehicle for checks. Clearance depends on the crossing, direction, vehicle lane, travel documents and officers' instructions; staying in the car throughout is not guaranteed. How long does Shenzhen to Hong Kong city take?

There is no single reliable journey time for every Shenzhen–Hong Kong city pair. The trip includes the drive to the crossing, mainland exit and Hong Kong entry procedures, then the drive to your Hong Kong address. A Kowloon hotel and a Central office need different onward plans.

Send any meeting, restaurant or event deadline when enquiring. Dispatch can propose a pickup time for the specific route; road congestion, border queues, inspections and weather can extend the journey. Do not treat an airport transfer estimate or a northbound Hong Kong-to-Shenzhen estimate as the timing for this southbound city trip.

Travel documents, passengers and luggage

Each passenger needs valid travel documents appropriate to their status and itinerary. Check whether a Hong Kong visa, entry permit or other documentation is required using the Hong Kong Immigration Department's visitor entry requirements. Requirements depend on nationality, travel-document type and residency; booking a car does not establish eligibility to enter Hong Kong. If returning to Shenzhen later, also check eligibility to re-enter mainland China.

A seven-seat Toyota Alphard has at most six passenger seats because the driver occupies one seat. Send adult and child counts, suitcase quantities and dimensions, and any stroller or folding wheelchair. Child seats must be requested and confirmed in advance. Six passengers with large bags may require a different loading plan or another vehicle.
