Shenzhen to Hong Kong via Guangzhou Private Car Tour
Plan one private-car journey from The Westin Shenzhen, through a planned Guangzhou sightseeing stop, to The Park Lane Hong Kong, Causeway Bay. The service is designed for travellers who prefer a 7-seat Alphard, Vellfire or similar vehicle, a dedicated driver and one coordinated itinerary instead of arranging separate city transfers.
The route planner below helps you choose the right sightseeing pace. The assigned vehicle, driver, cross-border permissions, insurance scope and checkpoint plan must be confirmed in writing before payment.
Choose the right Guangzhou route
| Option | Suggested stops | Best for | Planning decision |
|---|---|---|---|
| Liwan cultural route | Chen Clan Ancestral Hall → Yongqing Fang / Liwan old town → Shamian Island | Same-evening Hong Kong arrival | Recommended starting plan |
| Landmark route | Chen Clan Ancestral Hall → Yongqing Fang → Canton Tower | Canton Tower is a priority | Shamian becomes optional |
| Extended Guangzhou route | Chen Clan Ancestral Hall → Yongqing Fang → Shamian Island → Canton Tower | Travellers who want all four sights | A late Hong Kong arrival or Guangzhou overnight is recommended |
Suggested same-day itinerary
The following is a planning window, not a fixed arrival-time promise. City traffic, parking, attraction entry and border clearance can change the schedule.
| Time window | Plan |
|---|---|
| 07:00–07:30 | Pickup at The Westin Shenzhen or another confirmed Shenzhen address |
| 09:00–10:00 | Arrival window for Guangzhou, depending on traffic and the agreed route |
| 10:00–11:30 | Chen Clan Ancestral Hall |
| 11:30–13:30 | Yongqing Fang / Liwan old town and lunch |
| 13:30–14:30 | Shamian Island, if using the Liwan cultural route |
| 14:30–16:00 | Canton Tower exterior or sightseeing visit, if selected |
| From 16:00 | Depart Guangzhou for the confirmed border and Hong Kong destination |
| Evening | Drop-off at The Park Lane Hong Kong, Causeway Bay, subject to traffic and clearance |
If arriving in Hong Kong before a particular time matters, choose the Liwan cultural route and treat Canton Tower as an optional addition. A full visit to all four sights is better handled as an extended itinerary rather than a standard same-day promise.
Why this order works
Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Yongqing Fang and Shamian Island form a natural western Guangzhou culture and old-town cluster. Combining them limits unnecessary cross-city driving and leaves the eastern Guangzhou landmark, Canton Tower, as a clear optional decision.
This is more practical than presenting four attractions as equal fixed stops. Canton Tower may involve a ticket, entry window or extra waiting time; if it is the main priority, use the Landmark route and remove Shamian first when the day starts to run late.
One vehicle and one driver across the journey
You may request the same vehicle and driver for the Shenzhen pickup, Guangzhou sightseeing and Hong Kong drop-off. This is a request that must be checked against the actual assigned vehicle and planned route.
Before payment, ask for written confirmation of:
| Item | What we confirm |
|---|---|
| Vehicle | 7-seat Alphard, Vellfire or a confirmed similar vehicle |
| Cross-border use | Whether the assigned vehicle is approved for the planned Guangdong–Hong Kong journey |
| Paid passenger service | Whether the applicable hire-car and passenger-service permissions are in force |
| Insurance | The scope and validity of the quoted cross-border insurance |
| Checkpoint | Planned checkpoint and any backup arrangement |
| Border procedure | Whether passengers or luggage may need to leave the vehicle for inspection |
| Driver continuity | Same-driver request confirmed, conditional or unavailable |
Hong Kong’s Transport Department explains that cross-boundary vehicles need relevant permits, approvals and/or quotas. For paid passenger transport, a valid Hire Car Permit and the appropriate cross-boundary vehicle identification should also be checked. See the official cross-boundary vehicle guidance and Hire Car Permit guidance.
What an all-inclusive quote should show
The confirmed quote should list each item instead of using “all-inclusive” without an explanation.
| Usually quoted when applicable | Confirm separately |
|---|---|
| Driver and vehicle use | Attraction tickets |
| Fuel | Meals |
| Agreed road and bridge tolls | Overtime or additional waiting |
| Agreed parking | Special parking or event charges |
| Confirmed cross-border insurance scope | Hotel accommodation and driver lodging |
| Confirmed checkpoint-related charges | Any change outside the agreed route |
No fixed total price is published on this planning page because the final amount depends on the travel date, pickup time, stop duration, vehicle, permissions, parking and confirmed border plan. Send the completed route summary through WhatsApp to request a written quote.
Payment options
Payment methods are confirmed with the quotation. Visa, Mastercard or PayPal should only be selected in the planner as a preference; availability depends on the active payment channel and the final booking arrangement. The quote should state the currency, deposit, balance, cancellation terms and refund conditions before payment.

Frequently asked questions
Can we visit Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Yongqing Fang, Shamian Island and Canton Tower in one day?
It may be possible with an early start and a late Hong Kong arrival, but it should not be treated as the standard route. The planner therefore offers a Liwan route, a Landmark route and an Extended route so you can choose the time trade-off openly.
Will the same car and driver take us from Shenzhen to Hong Kong?
You can request this. The operator must confirm the assigned vehicle, route permissions, insurance and driver availability before payment. Border officers may still direct passengers or luggage to follow an on-site inspection procedure.
Can we stay in the car during border clearance?
This cannot be guaranteed. The procedure depends on the checkpoint, vehicle permissions, passenger documents and instructions from immigration, customs or other officers on duty.
Is the final price fixed on this page?
No. This is a route-planning page. The confirmed quote is based on the date, pickup time, vehicle, stop duration, parking, permissions and agreed border plan.
Can I pay by Visa or Mastercard?
Please select it as a payment preference in the planner. The available payment channel will be confirmed together with the written quote; the website does not promise card acceptance before that confirmation.
What should I send for a quote?
Send the pickup address, Hong Kong destination, travel date, preferred pickup time, passenger count, luggage count, selected Guangzhou stops and whether you require the same vehicle and driver.
